Three-year-old Gleneagles colt scores in impressive fashion for Liberty Racing 2024 Platinum after lengthy break.

DAYTONA, who is racing for Liberty Racing 2024 Platinum, took to the track today in Duesseldorf after a lengthy break of eight months due to injury. Following his second-place finish last December against very strong competition, the Peter Schiergen-trained Gleneagles colt was the clear favorite and more than lived up to that expectation. With Asterblüte stable jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev in the saddle, the chestnut colt showed flashes of his class, remained prominently in the race throughout the 1,700-metre maiden contest, and drew away with might from the competition in the home stretch. DAYTONA, who was bred by the German Park Wiedingen Stud, won by a commanding five lengths and will certainly be aiming for tougher challenges now.
