A Torquator Tasso colt for Liberty Racing 2026 Platinum | Abacus sold

We look back on a successful auction at the BBAG Sales & Racing Festival. One horse comes. One goes.
The compact bay scolt, offered as Lot 72 by Westerberg Consignment, impressed our team, and so Liberty Racing 2026 Platin can now celebrate the addition of its third horse. Bred at Gestüt Elsetal, the colt is a son of Arc winner TORQUATOR TASSO, whose first crop of two-year-olds is currently making headlines. The dam is the Touch Down mare TIZIANA, herself a four-time winner and Listed-placed, from the dam line Tosca Bella, which includes, among others, the champion stayer Tres Rock Danon. The pedigree promises stamina and raises hopes for precociousness. The colt is now heading to the Ohlerweiherhof Stud, where he will be prepared for this new chapter in his life alongside his team mates.

One hour before we were able to welcome the new addition, we said goodbye to ABACUS. The Teofilo colt, trained by Sarah Steinberg for Liberty Racing 2024 Platin, was presented by OH Consignment and sold to Hajro Jusufovic for €36,000. Abacus fetched the highest price of all the horses offered in training.
