2YO KAIROS very impressive on debut at Cologne

Our second two-year-old starter this year also made a winning debut to his racing career. The Henk Grewe-trained Zarak son KAIROS by Zarak had his first outing in today's Youngster Cup at Cologne and presented himself like a pro in his first public appearance. Ridden by Leon Wolff, the colt bred in France faced seven opponents, who made little impression on him. The handsome bay was immediately among the frontrunners from the start, galloping as if pulled by a string and confidently drawing away in the final straight as the distance increased. The stewards noted: easy, two and a half lengths, and the two-year-old's light-footed stride was indeed a real feast for the eyes.
With this victory, both 2024 syndicates now have one win each on record (Chiefland won for Liberty Racing 2024 Gold), which makes the 2026 Derby dream a little more tangible for all.
