Successful BBAG Auction Sale 2025 - Liberty Racing welcomes five new additions

Like every year, the team led by founders Nadine Siepmann and Lars-Wilhelm Baumgarten thoroughly analyzed a group of candidates in the weeks leading up to the BBAG Yearling Sale, inspected them on site, and finally subjected them to a last veterinary check in order to go into the auction day with a list of desired candidates.

At the end of the day, the hammer had fallen in our favor five times, securing that the Liberty Racing 2025 Gold and Platinum syndicates are already very well stocked.

Three horses were purchased for the Gold syndicate: Catalog No. 25, a colt by Galileo's son Intello, offered by Radzikowski Bloodstock and purchased for €61,000 (photo); €64,000 was paid for Catalog No. 186. This is the brother of Warasch, though sired by Cracksman, who ran for Liberty Racing 2023 Aces. WERDAGNE is the name of the colt bred by Gestüt Ebbesloh and he is a completely different type than his older brother. Catalog No. 202 was the last lot sold to Liberty on the day. The Gestüt Görlsdorf-bred colt by Sea The Moon completes the Gold syndicate's lot, which now has three promising candidates to keep the dream of the 2027 Derby alive.

Catalog No. 74 also comes from Gestüt Görlsdorf. The colt, also by Sea The Moon out of the champion stayer filly Hey Little Görl, was acquired for €120,000. Together with Catalog No. 132, a Gleneagles son offered by Gestüt Westerberg Consignment, he will carry the classic ambitions for the Platinum syndicate. The latter was Liberty Racing's top acquisition at €210,000, which, according to Lars-Wilhlem Baumgarten, still has “good money in its pocket” after the auction to purchase another horse abroad to complete the lot for Liberty Racing 2025 Platinum.

Four of the yearlings are still nameless, but that will certainly change in the coming weeks. As every year, Nadine Siepmann will involve the shareholders in choosing the names of the future stars.

The five new additions are already on their way to Gestüt Ohlerweiherhof, where they will start pre-training with the team around Nastasja Volz-Degel and Timo Degel over the coming weeks and months .
